Description
Letter from Roger N. Baldwin to Ernest Besig, stating ACLU national was advised by officials in Washington to file a brief amicus in the Korematsu case "in order to stress certain issues which they feel need emphasis and to add the prestige of prominent lawyers." Baldwin also raises the question of Collins sharing time in arguing the Korematsu case with another lawyer. The ACLU-Northern California case file records contain legal documents and correspondence pertaining to the case argued before the Supreme Court in Korematsu v. United States (1944), challenging the constitutionality of Executive Order 9066.
