Description: Image of the polo field at what is today Will Roger's State Historic Park. Written on reverse: POLO FIELD. SANTA MONICA, CALIFORNIA. Polo is a more exclusive sport than golf, requiring youth, a string of ponies and spare time galore. Nevertheless, this dare-devil game has forged to the front here. California has several active polo clubs, with teams and stabling facilities in the vicinity of San Diego, Los Angeles, Riverside, Pasadena, Santa Barbara, Del Monte and San Francisco.
