Description
The damaged sports car belonged to Lou Fageol and got damaged during a race car competition in the spring. His mechanic David L. Rankin contacted the J. Allen Hawkins Studio for photographic copies of the damaged care. There are letters in file from Mr. Rankin. The studio took several pictures in a variety of angles of this car. The photographs were ordered by Clyde R. Jones, an engineer at Wheeler-Fairchild Inc, where the car was located at 40 North Daisy Ave., this business specialized in "Experimental Development, Engineering and Manufacturing." In the letters Mr. Rankin wrote that the sport car is yellow.
