Description
Looking down on Founders Oak Island (foreground), located on Haverford Avenue and currently owned and maintained by the Pacific Palisades Historical Society. The small park includes a historic marker (see image 00068868) which commemorates the spot where founding families pitched their tents to start the town of Pacific Palisades. Sunset Blvd., visible in the center of the image, winds past the park and through the seaside community.
