The Streamline Moderne style Hollywood Park, built in 1937, was located at 1050 South Prairie Avenue in Inglewood. It was designed by architect Stiles O. Clements and landscape architect Edward Huntsman-Trout. Later additions to the park were designed by Fred Barlow, Jr. In 2012, the property was renamed Betfair Hollywood Park. The park closed in May, 2013 and development of a football stadium complex began in October, 2016. Photograph caption dated October 7, 1959 reads "Major league harness racing returns to the Southland today with the opening of the 35-day Western Harness Racing Association meeting at Hollywood Park. First post on weekdays is at 1 p.m., with the nine-race Saturday cards getting underway at 12:45 p.m. More than $750,000 in stakes and purses will be offered during the meet, making it the richest daytime harness program in history." The racetrack is in Inglewood.
