Description
Pictured is heavyweight boxer Zora Folley. Prior to becoming a professional boxer, Folley joined the U.S. Army in 1948 and began boxing within a year; he saw active service during the Korean War and earned five battle stars. Folley was discharged in 1953 with the rank of Sergeant. The 6-foot, 1-inch boxer's career totaled 96 fights: 79 wins, 11 losses, and 6 draws. Photograph dated May 12, 1961.
