The Hotel Land, a five story structure occupies this K Street corner in downtown Sacramento. The ground floor shops in this building include: Don Burton Shoes (914 K Street), Graysons Women's Clothing (918 K Street), Leeds Shoes (922 K Street), H. Wachhorst Company Jewelers (926 K Street), and Walgreen's Drug (930 K Street). Next door are the Capitol Clothing Company Men's Clothing (916 K Street) and the Fox Senator Theater (912 K Street). Kirk Douglas was starring in "Ace in the Hole" which was playing at the theater when this picture was taken on August 4, 1951. The entrance to the Hotel Land is at 1106 Tenth Street.
