Den N.Mittag benützte ich zu einer Wanderung am Meer u. zum Zeichnen der Skizze: 'Christiansborgcastle', ... zum Schreiben von Briefen an Berthy, Elsly u. Lotty.- den Abendthee trank ich mit verschidenen Akra-Brüdern bei Geschw. Jäger. Xborg, Pfingsten 1904 22.V. O Mgs 8 < Uhr> 20. 21.V. ? Hab' nicht viel erlebt: bin spazieren gegangen hab' gelesen u. geschrieben bin z. Nachtessen in Akra gewesen u. hab ein feuriges Pferd eingeritten, das fast mit mir durchgegangen wäre u. zur allgemeinen Gebetsstunde ... Note translation: Text on rear translated: " ... do things in vain, leave today and be called [back?] tomorrow. I spent the afternoon strolling to the sea and drawing the sketch of Christiansborg Castle, and wrote letters to Berthy, Elsly and Lotty. I drank a cup of tea in the evening with various Accra missionaries in the quarters of the Jägers in Christiansborg. Whitsun 1904 [following abbreviations untranslatable]. Did not experience much. Went for a stroll. I read and wrote. Took supper in Accra. Rode a fiery horse that almost ran away with me. Went to the prayer meeting..."
