Description
In this letter dated March 1933, Jeffers thanks his correspondent for her note and responds that he too is a collector "though not of books -- of something that costs nothing and lasts longer." Jeffers then describes his collection of stones from "all the places we've been and a few that our friends have visited." The stones, which he uses to "build...into our walls here," come from such places as "the Hebrides to Tahiti to the Wall of China."
