Photograph caption dated January 30, 1959 reads, "West Valley Sgt. G. M. Hyden holds .22-caliber pistol which John Calvin Neely, 32, of North Hollywood, borrowed from friend, Gordon Vanek, on day Ronald Caruana, 27, Canoga Park photographer disappeared. Caruana's body was discovered yesterday. Neely is being sought for questioning."
