Description
Indicative of the care used in guarding vital points of the municipal water and electric systems against sabotage, a member of the California Sate Guard comes to arms at the boundary of his post along a section of the Los Angeles Aqueduct. In addition to several detachments of State Guard troops, the Department also maintains under the supervision of Captain H. L. Jacques, a force of several hundred armed guards, distributed at key points of the system according to a plan worked out by the Plant Protection Committee. Whether it is water or power, both vital to local defense industries and to the entire community, the cry is “Keep ‘em flowing.”
