Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph article dated September 6, 1954 partially reads, "Scott Roberts, owner and operator of the Valley Canine Training School, has turned his dream into a reality. After 13 years of punching time clocks for various aircraft plants, he decided to make the move that scares so many. He quit his job and went into a business that, although it offered little security, gave him that sense of well being that comes from being independent and working at a job he enjoyed. Dogs and their training were Scott's hobbies so he turned to them as a means of making a living when the time came. At his North Hollywood dog academy he has classes in which he teaches the procedure for training dogs in basic obedience. It's a 10-week course." Photograph caption reads, "Passing a tough test - Teacher Scott Roberts, tests agility of 'Destruction,' dog graduate of his 10-week Canine Training Course. Scott has graduated over 100 classes in 10 years of teaching in North Hollywood school."; See images #00140309 through #00140312 for all photos in this series.
