Richard Garvey, who was one of the first Southern California subdividers and one of the last survivors of the early Los Angeles pioneers, was laid to rest today in services at his home and the old Plaza church. Mr. Garvey, who died at 92, is pictured a few years ago, looking over his acres which were the Rancho Potrero Grande de Felipe Lugo when he bought them in 1879. Photo dated: December 18, 1930.
