Photograph caption dated May 9, 1957 reads "Dr. Valention Lattanzi checks pulse of Kenneth Richardson, 37, after he was brought to Sun Valley Hospital in private car following molten metal explosion in downtown Tujunga. Victim suffered third-degree burns and is reported in fair condition today."
