A few people inspect damage to the San Jose Post Office caused by the1906 earthquake. The Clock tower steeple on the left has collapsed, leaving debris on the post office roof and in the street. The damage may appear extensive but aside from the clock tower the building was sound. The damage was quickly repaired but the steeple was never rebuilt.
