Image of the ship Catalpa, pictured in the midst of the rescue of the escaped Fenians off the coast of Australia with several ships in pursuit; portraits of the escaped Fenian men and their rescuers (Michael Harrington, Thomas Darragh, James McNally Wilson, John Breslin, Denis Duggan, John King, Thomas Desmond, Thomas Brennan, Captain George Smith Anthony, Thomas Hassett, Martin J. Hogan, and Robert Cranston); portraits, Irish clover and Celtic harps frame central ship image.
