Description
Photograph article dated December 27, 1949 partially reads, "An ambulance driver who sped to the scene of a Burbank shooting was credited today with trapping the man suspected of the assault. Ben Henry, operator of a private ambulance, was on his way to a filling sation [sic] at 225 N. Victory Blvd. where the attendant, Wearn Jordan, 43, had been shot in the wrist during an attempted holdup, police said. On the way, Henry used his spotlight to spy out a man trying to break into another station at Victory and Magnolia Blvds. Detectives R. L. McCann and Harry Strickland arrested Gerald E. McLain, 24, of 5229 Willowcrest Ave., Los Angeles."
