Northrup Institute, located at 1155 W. Arbor Vitae in Inglewood; view is looking northeast. The intersection of Aviation Boulevard and Arbor Vitae is seen at lower left. Aviation Boulevard is bottom left to upper left; Arbor Vitae runs bottom left corner to lower right; Isis Avenue parallels Aviation, lower right to upper left; Hindry Avenue is middle right to upper left; Hillcrest Boulevard is slightly horizontally at top. Northrup Institute was founded in 1942 by John K. Northrup and James L. McKinley as Northrup Aeronautical Institute. It was just called Northrup Institute by the time this photograph was taken. Photograph dated December 3, 1957.
