Title supplied by cataloger. The residence on the left, located at 5269 Lankershim Boulevard was at one time owned by Guy Weddington. It was relocated to 5245 Bakman Avenue in order to make way for the El Portal Theatre, and was demolished in 1965. The residence on the right was relocated to 5259 (later changed to 5263) Bakman Avenue and later served as St. Charles Parish. It was relocated a second time in 1953 to 5461 Louise Avenue as part of a school campus, but does not appear to still exist. The private drive between the two residences was later widened so Weddington Street could run straight through. The building visible in the distance served as a Methodist Episcopal Church and Church of the Immaculate Conception. It was briefly converted into a legitimate theater in the late 1940s, but was demolished in 1952. Panoramic view of the west side of Lankershim Boulevard at Weddington Street. Two residences are separated by a private driveway. In the distance is a wooden stable as well as a church tower. Trees surround the properties.
