Photograph caption dated October 29, 1959 reads, "Two horses who helped tie up traffic on inbound Hollywood Freeway near Barham boulevard are led away by trainer Gerald Souza, 22, of 1028 N. Cordova St., Burbank, as Officer Ted Robertson looks on, still puzzled as to why animals weren't killed. Souza and partner Greg Zibieta, 23, were hauling horses to Covina when trailer began to buckle, then tipped over, spilling horses into traffic. Quickly corralled, steeds were loaded into another rented trailer and went on their way with no injuries."
