Description
Photograph caption dated August 5, 1964 reads "Don Thompson of Mid-Valley Pony League team is shown whipping the ball plateward, but after striking out eight of the first nine Woodland Hills-Canoga Park batters, he tired in the fifth and retired from the game after giving up two runs. Woodland Hills won the district game playoff 4-0 at Northridge Park Tuesday. Play resumes in the tourney this afternoon at 5 p.m."
