Photograph caption date stamped January 19, 1961 reads, "North Hollywood's George Frenn is shown throwing the hammer, a duty he will perform with alacrity when he competes in the Los Angeles Invitational track meet whose weight events will be held at Occidental College Saturday. Frenn has tossed the hammer more than 50 feet. The main invitational meet will be held at the Sports Arena Saturday night."
