Description
Claire Thurmond, Scripps College Class of 1941, working as a secretary at the British Air Commission in Los Angeles. Glued to cardboard matte; undated. Verso: "Art furnished Miss Thurmond's background at Scripps. Now she is helping to make certain that the aircraft made for Britain meet the specifications of the RAF. The bulk of the correspondence is with the Resident Technical Officers at the aircraft plants on the west coast and with the British Air Commission in Washington, D.C., where another Scripps alumna, Diane Lejeune Merritt (1939) is serving."
