Description
Mary Treanor, Scripps College Class of 1940. Glued to cardboard matte; undated. Verso: Mary Treanor is a draftsman, assissting in the design of a bomber landing gear at Douglas Aircraft Company. Interested in literature at Scripps, and having as well a strong art interest, she founded her own press, The Greenhorn Press, after an apprentice job with the Ward Ritchie Press. A ten-weeks' course in aircraft drafting at summer school prepared her for war work."
