Students of Budlong Elementary School are using baby carriages to transport the many bundles of waste paper which they have collected for the October 6, 1944, paper drive. In the thick of things are, left to right, Fred Hart, Billy Don Plummer, Jack Coulson, and Sandra Sue Levine. The school averaged 46 pounds per pupil. Signs on the carriages read, Budlong Babies are Victory Babies and Budlong Babies Spell Hitler's Doom!
