Description
An interview with Cecil Bingaman, who worked for Southern Pacific in Sacramento, California from 1950-1992. Bingaman worked at the Sacramento Shops as an Apprentice Machinist. His apprenticeship was interrupted by service in the Korean War. Upon return, he completed his apprenticeship, and then divided his time between the Machine Shop and the Erecting Shop. Bingaman worked nights for most of his employment in the Shops.Additional Descriptive Notes: Tells the story of workers in the Sacramento Shops.
