Description
Archibald Lampman (Post Office Department), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, letter, 1893 November 9, to Hamlin Garland. "I enclose some lines which constitute a sort of small chant to the city of Chicago, and as I hear that you are in Chicago, and it has occurred to me that some Chicago newspaper [illegible] might like to print the verses in question, I take the liberty of asking you to pass them over to one of them, i.e. if you think them worth publishing." -- first line.
