Description
Writing from Dublin, Lawrence thanks Archer for sending him the cards of introduction and writing to Brander Matthews. He wonders what Matthews would say if he told him A. H. Bullen's opinion that Lawrence could easily be a professor at an American university. He states that Bullen has agreed to take over his book: 'Private Theatre' and mentions that he has recieved a copy of 'Shakespeare's England,' which overall, he is quite pleased with. Lawrence then criticises some of what Mr. Simpson wrote on Inigo Jones's scenic system.
