Photograph of soldiers posing near a United States hospital train in World War I, ca.1914. Twelve "doughboys" are lined up at center and are looking at the camera. They are all in uniform and the man at center is holding a short rifle. The train is behind the men to the right and is a long series of cars marked with red crosses. Several soldiers lean out of the windows to look at the camera. The characters "U.S. 64" are painted on the end of the train at right.
