Description
This report is on the inventory and appraisal of the assets of the San Antonio Water Company as of November 1, 1963. It has a number of sections that addresses the appraisal method, description of the system, water rights, adjustment of appraisal and summary of value, a detailed appraisal of the San Antonio Water Company, and a chronological history of the company. The first section discusses the authorization and scope of the appraisal, the method of appraisal, and depreciation. The second section focuses on the description of the system, which discusses the history of the San Antonio Water Company and the existing system. Section three address water rights: general water rights, the surface water right, tunnel water rights, ground water rights, and value of rights. The fourth section discusses adjustments of appraisal and summary of value. This section describes the production and supply facilities, the booster pumping stations, reservoirs, transmission and distribution mains, and summary of value. The report includes two appendices, the first being a detailed appraisal of the San Antonio Water Company and the second a chronological history of San Antonio Water Company from 1882 to 1947. A section entitled “Study of Chino Basin Underground Water Depletion” by Albert Reynolds is also included in the report. There are no pages labeled 8, 14, 28, or 32 in the inventory and appraisal pdf.
