Description
Photograph of a view of Whitley Avenue near Cahuenga Avenue and Hollywood Boulevard, Los Angeles, ca.1927. A few automobiles make their way along the curving, non-lined street that fills the center of the photo. The back of an early pickup truck is visible in the extreme left corner of the foreground. A building can be partially made out from behind foliage to the left as well. The town is also visible in front of the mountains in the distance. Small, orchard-like trees are spaced evenly in the yard to the left. Utility poles are evident along the sidewalk, along with streetlamps. Compare: CHS-6418. Photo shows three cyclists on the Cahuenga Pass, ca.1897, possibly the same area.
