Description
Image shows a group portrait of ten members of the Palos Verdes Golf Team standing in front of the golf club bus. Members of the golf team included Mr. Colby, Mr. Dunne, Mr. Eliot, Harry W. Hodges, Lawrence Hussey, Mr. Kirk, Donald Lawyer, Wallace Post, Mr. Rohne, and Mr. Shaw. Jim Fiske, golf pro of the Palos Verdes Golf Club, is standing sixth from the left. The two-story, eleven-room Spanish-style clubhouse [not visible] is located at 3301 Via Campesina in Val Monte. The golf course, which was designed by George C. Thomas Jr. and built by William P. Bell, opened on November 15, 1924, with landscaping designed by the Olmsted brothers.
