Description
A press photo of a hula dancer and her band in Los Angeles, circa 1920. Photograph by Empire, Los Angeles. A studio portrait of three white women. One stands to the left dressed in a Hawaiian dancer attire with grass skirt and lei. The two other women are to the right with one sitting holding a ukulele on her lap, the other stands strumming a guitar. Both women are looking towards the dancer. There is an ink inscription on the reverse, including a phone number, "Hall's Hula Girls" -- first line. The photogragh is in good condition with minor surface soiling and scratches.
