1 image. Dog back from Moscow, 14 May 1957. Dog "Kashtan (Boxer). (Handout).
Supplementary material reads: "City Desk. News Bureau. United Air Lines. Madison 9-4488. Here from Moscow: After 15 months in Moscow, Kashtan, a 1 1/2-year old pedigree boxer, returned home today via United Air Lines to his owner, Miss Virginia Richardson of 11271/2 West 3rd street, Santa Ana. Miss Richardson, a secretary for the American Embassy in Moscow, purchased Kashtan in Berlin and took him to Russia when he was three months old. Miss Richardson was transferred home recently and Kashtan followed her by air. In a few months Miss Richardson and Kashtan will be flying to a new government assignment in Cape Town, South Africa".
