Note translation: "Christiane Christaller 1834-66, Frederika Eisenschmid 1841-67 with her little son Friedrich, Maria Haas 1846-73, Heinrich Handel 1851-75, Lydia Buck." (D-30-0,2). - We have no indication why the grave in the foreground is decorated, nor why there is a line of spectators in the background (PJ 07.1998). - But it may be that the gravestone had just been inserted. NB how the negative calls this a photograph of a common grave. (PJ 08.2002).
