Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph article dated April 8, 1963 partially reads, "Sunland-Tujunga residents - many of them carrying fishing rods - crowded to the first public showing of a Tujunga Wash area that Livingston Rock and Gravel co. proposes to convert into a park. A company spokesman estimated that some 1,300 persons Saturday fished for trout in a lake there, toured the existing gravel mining facilities and ate a catered lunch provided by the gravel firm. Livingston is attempting to show residents the benefits of establishing a park in the wash on the site of mined-out gravel areas, the spokesman said." Photograph caption reads, "Harry Gaiser family tours facilities - George Schuckert, right, explains mining process."
