Photograph caption dated January 20, 1961 reads "Gail Goodrich, sensational all-around cage star leads Polytechnic High School against heavily favored Jordan tomorrow afternoon at Los Angeles State College in a quarter-final game of the 14th annual Los Angeles City basketball tournament. The southpaw scoring whiz was the second leading scorer in the city with a 23.2 per game average." Polytechnic High School is in Sun Valley.
