Description
Photograph caption dated November 12, 1957 reads "William J. Schuessler, 60, points to hole in ceiling of his store at 15960 Ventura Blvd., Encino, which burglars chopped to gain entry. Watching are Francis M. Schaffer, Encino postmaster, and L. H. Stoddard, post office inspector. Thieves turned out lights and in full view of display window and on dolly wheeled away safe with $6,000 to $8,000 in receipts."
