Description
Joaquin Miller Grammar School Faculty, dated November 23, 1936. The back of the image has the teachers' names but is not completely legible; "First Row: Florence ???? Grade K, Mable Schoeffer (House) Grade 2 or 3, Laura ???? Grade 2 or 3, Margerite Wenwood Grade 5, Lucile Luce Grade 6. Second Row: Bertha Clark Grade 5, Helen Broughton music, Alice Phelan Grade 4, Sue Perry Grade K or 1, Winifred Brown Grade K, June Buell Grade 1 or 2, Madeline Smith Grade 2, Louise Wickersham Principal, Marie Phelan Grade 6, Gladys Marshall, Frances Winters Grade 2 or 3, ???? Forsythe. [Also noted is that] grades suggested may not be truly accurate." This image came from a collection of images donated by the Delores Palmer Estate. She was a BUSD employee for many years and authored the book "A History of Burbank."
