Description
Photograph of a view of Broadway looking north from Seventh Street, Los Angeles, ca.1907. A streetcar navigates the rails that are embedded in the street at center, flanked to either side by commercial highrise buildings. Cables for the streetcar form a web across the street. Pedestrians browse the sidewalks on either side. Automobiles and horse-drawn carriages are parked along each side of the road. Legible signs on the buildings include "The House of Quality", "Bullock's", "Millinery", "Majestic Theatre Usual Matinees Week Starting Sunday Feb. 28", "Beresford Captures Trisco" and "Who's Your Friend? Harry Beresford".
