Photograph caption dated August 8, 1949 reads, "Learning how to start the engine of a plane by using the propeller are, Cadets Bob Schiller, North Hollywood and Richard Roome. Sergeants John Seeley and Ernest C. Press, both of Granada Hills are instructors. Cadets spend most of their time undergoing instruction in the various fields relating to aviation but some actual flying is enjoyed by them. In the air they get the chance to put into practice what their instructors have taught them in classrooms and on the field."; See images #00109927 through #00109934 for all photos in this series.
