Photograph was edited for publication purposes Photograph caption dated December 24, 1962 reads, "Youngsters playing around construction projects like the one pictured above can result in danger for the chilren [sic], worry for construction workers and anguish for parents. But even though the dangers of playing in the construction yards are obvious, the practice continues. However, PTA members are trying to do something about it. Mrs. Henry Rollston, safety chairman of the El Dorado PTA Council, and other PTA officials are trying to warn parents about the necessity for impressing upon their children the need for keeping away from construction jobs. One of the main hazards facing youngsters is the San Diego Freeway which extends through the heart of the Valley about parallel to Sepulveda Blvd. In an effort to dramatize the need for keeping children away from the jobs, three Sepulveda youngsters posed to illustrate some practices that undisciplined children might do.
