Description
Photograph article dated March 24, 1964 reads, "Manny Rose of Sherman Oaks, the world's gin rummy champion, is taking his recent good fortune with an air of nonchalance. The 45-year-old stockbroker last Thursday won over 750 competitors in the finals of the eighth international gin rummy tournament held in Las Vegas. The prize: $20,400. And he attributed his success primarily to luck."
