Description
Meeting with Hayward Board of Education meeting during which speaker talks about the student-organized lowrider happening at Tennyson High School in order to explain how it was organized and to dispel any negative impressions/reporting. Barrio Expressions was a community access television show documenting Chicanx and Latinx life in the East San Francisco Bay Area. It ran on Hayward cable television from 1976-1985. While the shows were filmed primarily in the Hayward area, they include stories from around the East Bay and San Jose. The show aired weekly, with 26 episodes per year.
