Description
The USS Potomac, originally named Electra, was built and commissioned in 1934 by the United States Coast Guard. In 1936 the U.S. Navy commissioned it and gave the vessel its current name. President Franklin Delano Roosevelt used it as his Presdential Yacht until his death in 1945.
