Description
Born on the Isle of Man. Lived in Bishop, Keeler, Lone Pine, Independence. Parents Thomas Henry and Margaret Watterson. Bishop in 1915. Lived on Academy (Now Chalfant House). Surrounding area was agriculture and cattle. Moved to Keeler. Moved to Lone Pine to a ranch in 1918. High school in Lone Pine. Ranch life. Owned a dairy. Keeler life. Store in Keeler. Chinatown in Keeler, all men (worked for Soda Co.) Met Rollin in Keeler. Soda Co. had 240- 250 employees. Boat on Owens Lake. Married Rollin in 1922. Crops, corn, wheat and potatoes. Mrs. Ramsey's hospital in Lone Pine. Mr. Ramsey was a photographer. Lone Pine business. Arrived in New York 1915. Train trip to Chicago then Reno. Narrow gauge from Mina to Laws. Episcopal church in Lone Pine. Making and selling butter.
