Description
In 1942, EO 9066 interned Japanese from Monrovia mostly at Pomona Assembly Center and Heart Mountain, Wyoming camp. Tosh Asano (bottom left) was pulled out of Citrus College but continued to play sports within the camp before he joined the military in 1942. He served as a Japanese-language interpreter for the Army in the Philippines and Japan. After the war, Tosh worked for Midway Ford, and lived on Walnut Ave with his family.
