SCI-Arc student, Shawn Leong, focuses on his work at a temporary campus. Two lamps have been positioned to illuminate his work area; textbooks and notebooks are piled high in front of him, and an opened book lays on his right. This looks to be a small, makeshift study area with not much room for anything other than a chair and small desk, but Shawn is making it work for him. In 2000, SCI-Arc, which is the Southern California Institute of Architecture, moved into a 1/4-mile long historic freight depot building in Downtown L.A. located at 960 E. 3rd Street. Photograph dated 2001.
