Draftsmen at a Killefer Manufacturing Corporation office, located at 3525 Downey Road in Huntington Park, are shown designing tillers and other types of agricultural equipment. The four men are identified as "Lucas, Weber, Brodersen and Russel." Killefer, established in 1892 in Los Angeles, produced heavy duty tillage implements for use on the West Coast. Deere & Company, who often contracted Killefer for equipment, eventually acquired the company in 1937. The central Los Angeles Killefer plant was closed on Jan. 6, 1969. Photo dated: May 14, 1927.
