Title supplied by cataloger.
Designed by Meyer & Holler, the California Theatre was built in 1923. During later years of operation it was known as the United Artists Theater and was a Spanish language movie house until a fire in 1977 damaged the building. As of 2009, the building still stands in a greatly modified state.
Exterior view of the California Theatre, located at 235 W. Third Street in Pomona. The marquee is seen on the left side of the building. A music store, Ressler Music Co., and California Cafe´ also occupy the lower level of the building. Signs on the windows identify numerous medical and business offices on the upper floors.
